March 14 (3/14) is international Pi Eay!
What happens when you divide a circle's circumference by its diameter? You get Pi!
Come join us in the Forest Knolls gym at as we use imaginative and fun ways to remember the number that never ends.
One of MoCo’s favorite math teachers will be on hand to help lead activities! We will be reading stories projected on a big screen, playing games and rolling hoops, chasing LEGOs, all in the name of Pi.
With any luck, our chief robotics consultant may be able to join us and talk about how Pi helps NASA explore Mars!
Have you ever derived Pi using a hula hoop? How many places can you remember? Find out in our Pi bee … First prize: (what else? ) a pie!
Registration is open to all students from any school, grades 2 to 4.
No food is allowed at the venue, so unfortunately, we will not be able to throw pies at each other.
Yes, you can drop off your child, but only after you sign in and verify your emergency contact information for the evening. Event ends at 8:15pm sharp. Late pickups will be charged at $2 per minute. We must all be outside of the building by 8:30 sharp.
